MAMMA MIA MOVIE TIME!

hey folks! first of all thank u for the lovely comments! it's quite nice to get them u kno!

anywhoo, I actually saw Mamma Mia about last week but got home so late that I didn't bother to take any good pics. So, before "fashion time" decided to tell you a little about the movie.

HIGHLIGHTS:

-plot (just like the Broadway show! so simple and is nice from Hollywood's same old stories)

-the cast (I found Amanda Seyfried's character in Mean Girls hilarious and even though I'm not a huge fan of Meryl Streep, her singing and acting were very cool. plus Colin Firth was there too.)

-the songs (ok, seriously, who DOES NOT want to stand in their seat and just belt out "Dancing Queen"?? it's everybody's guilty pleasure!)

- setting (I'm not sure where they filmed it but it really reminded me of Santorini and the town of Oia (SISTERHOOD!!!) and it was probably one of the most beautiful places I visited so seeing another Greek town that looked awesome was cool)

LOWLIGHTS:

-older/younger relationship (ok, this is a semi-spoiler but one of the friends of Meryl's has this semi-relationship with a guy like 20 years younger than her. i kno it's part of the story but still, ew!)

-Pierce Brosnan (acting was all right but really, he can't sing. like he's not a William Hung or anything but you kinda cringe when his mouth starts to sing the lyrics)

It's pretty different from what I wear on a regular basis and definitely more girly. But I always find my style has more "California" in it because it's very simple and kinda beachy so I really like this look. Still got to work better on the poses (maybe need that vogueing guy from ANTM, benny ninja or something??? HE WILL HELP ME!!!!)

Next post is either gonna be something for school (so like heavier material) or an update on a DIY which I have like 3 sorta in the works.

FIRST FASHION POST!

ok, so now that it's August, I'll be doing fashion posts because I feel like it and once September comes, I may have some new material, music-wise. Which is always good.

So, right now, I'm not really going to do a full "fashion" post yet, because I think it would be best if you guys saw what I basically wear everyday because you get a sense of what I generally like and how sometimes I change it (that's what most likely I'm gonna be doing in future fashion posts).

I'm wearing 3 different outfits (2 regular and 1 soccer) because if you ever see me I'm either wearing the 2 outfits or I'm coming back from soccer.

Changing It Up!

Hey there!

OK, so thanks for the comments! I'll probably try doing some more videos later, maybe with some original composition and instrument playing (we'll see...). So, hating to brag (well, sorta lol) but this Wednesday I'm seeing Coldplay live! WOO HOO! I have very HIGH standards for this concert (since it sold out SO fast!1 minute people!) so hopefully they won't disappoint (they just did Vancouver's first Pemberton Festival!). I'll probably do a post on what songs they did and shit and take photos and post them up here.

Anyways, since it's getting VERY close to the opening of school (one more month peoples!), I decided to do some new blog posts of a different variation. So for the whole month of August, I'll do fashion posts. Ya, it's kinda weird but I think a) it'll be a little easier for me to do them while I think of new music posts and b) I have some cool stuff and my friend wants me to post pictures of my latest DIY onto here, so this would be easier to tie it in with. Also, maybe people will see this more...haha, SURE THEY WILL. But I love everyone who already reads this craptastic blog!

Well, right now I'm gonna prepare for soccer (GO STRIKERS! I play defence!) and then later this week it will be the Coldplay and first fashion post of August!

seriously, WHY DID I DO THIS??? I can just imagine everybody laughing at this thinking I can sing. I like to think of myself as somewhat fearless (um, roller coasters are basically my life) but even simple things like just talking to a guy, just make me go into that shell (what a nice shell it is though!) But decided got to do something cool on this blog, you know?

I think I recorded this like 3 times and even then it's not perfect (at the bridge kinda area, you get this kinda weird feedback cuz I sang too loud. sry!) But it had the least amount of mistakes/off-keys (I'm REALLY hard on myself, cuz that's the only way I hear it), so I decided to use it.

Hello Blog World! Meet Me, Monty!

Hello, if you can't tell I am going to be a really bad blogger. Expect me to have spelling errors and random thoughts and loads of other stuff but honestly, if nobody visits (except moi!) all will be lost of course!

So, the point of the blog. Well, I am an inspiring artist (how many times have you heard that phrase?) in lots of areas but mostly music. I get lots of weird ideas in my head and sometimes with luck they are able to be formed into words and with a tune, into lyrics. So, I am trying to become an artist. I know there are other ways to become one like with drama (which I also try to do, with some success I think) or fashion (please check out meet the freak's blog if you haven't because she is my absolute friend and her style is impeccable) but to me, music can be a calling so that's what I'm here to do.

So, here, I'll write down lots of lyrics, talk about my favourite bands and concerts and possibly, show you a video of me singing (I've heard it's good but honestly I do like 500 takes of 1 song cause I feel I am off key).
